Fully-Anechoic Chamber

ACS employs one of the southeast’s only fully anechoic chambers.  It is a 3-meter test-distance chamber used for radiated emissions and radiated immunity testing to domestic and international standards.  It is also useful in troubleshooting product non-compliances.

The chamber is fully anechoic, meaning that there is no ground plane on the floor (that would be a semi-anechoic chamber).  The floor is covered with the same RF absorber material as it the walls and ceiling.  An RF transparent walkway “floats” over the floor absorber allowing access to the antenna and turntable.

The RF absorber used in the fully anechoic chamber is the latest hybrid of foam over ferrite tile, allowing for a higher and broader frequency range of operation.

The room is 24’ long, 16’ wide and 12’ high.
